Department Description:
Hears and acts on applications for special permits and variances which are exceptions to the Town of Avon Zoning Bylaws to allow the applicant to make use of his land, erect and maintain buildings or other structures as provided in the Table for Use Regulations in said bylaw and terms of the applicable portions of the Town of Avon Zoning Bylaws, always adhering to the provisions of Mass. General Law Chapter 40A.
